Electronic Book Features

by Stephen Beck

The features of an electronic book, or e-book, are easy to include in a package that sells your new e-book. When you “bulk” up your e-book into a package, you add value to the e-book itself.

Before you sell your e-book, what should you include?

1.Title Page and Copyright information – Whether your title page is simple or elaborate, make sure that the chosen font is readable. On the inside of the front cover, include your copyright information.

2. Body of Ebook – Here’s the meat of your e-book. This will include the introduction, body and conclusion. . . just like you did in high school. Be sure you fill the body of your e-book with lots of content to keep your customer satisfied with his purchase.

3. Clickable Links – Point your reader back to your website with clickable links. This will encourage them to get to know you better and get to know your products, too. At least two or three of your links should send your reader to a sales page where he can buy further information about your niche. For this reason, your links should be clickable in the e-book’s pdf.

4.Resource Box – Include information about yourself and your services in a resource box at the end of your book. A well written e-book excites readers, making them look for more information. Help them out by providing resources.

5. Bonus Items – I always include bonus items for my buyers. These may be audio workshops, transcripts, Camtasia videos, or special reports. Give each bonus item a value so the total value of the package is much greater than the price of the e-book.

Not only will these 5 features of an electronic book guide you as you plan your next e-book, they can increase future profits as you make more sales after your e-book is sold.
